Motivated by its importance in practical applications, Dispersed Flow Film Boiling (DFFB) has been a subject of considerable interest for academic and industrial research. The regime of DFFB is encountered when the heated wall becomes dry before complete evaporation and the remaining liquid is entrained as droplets, dispersed in the vapor phase, as illustrated in Figure. Evaluation of the existing heat transfer correlations for DFFB conditions enables a more reliable selection of heat transfer correlations for engineering applications.
The main tasks of this thesis are to evaluate some existing heat transfer correlations for DFFB conditions and include:
- Literature review about the heat transfer correlations for DFFB conditions.
- Compare the selected correlations with experimental database.
- Analyze the mechanisms involved in the heat transfer process.
- Write thesis
